We’ve heard the rumors of D’Angelo’s impending return – a J Records album that will include collaborations with Raphael Saadiq and potentially John Mayer. Below I’ve posted “Sent It On” and “Cruisin’” videos which were both included on “The Best So Far” CD/DVD released by Virgin June 24th.
With the recent Virgin Records release of his hits CD/DVD “The Best So Far,” D’Angelo has been revived in the public’s consciousness and everyone (especially me) is hungry for this new J Records project.
I also got some outstanding news this week that D is working with his friends Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammed and Raphael Saadiq as the group Linwood Rose (which had a previous incarnation that included ?uestlove and Spanky). Considering the brilliant work of these men individually, with their groups and the amazing Soulquarians repertoire – the idea of a Saadiq, Q-Tip and D’Angelo project has me nearly drooling.

Finally, his return is well over due…. Now all we need is Lauryn Hill to come back and we’ll be off to a good start to real music again.
